Phone Training

Tens of thousands of CaseSoft users have taken one of our no-charge phone training classes. Our core CaseMap Fundamentals for End Users phone session is almost always conducted as a one-on-one event. It certainly costs us more to train users individually, but we know this format permits trainees to ask their specific questions and it allows our trainer to adjust the pace of the session based on the needs of the individuals being trained.

The vast majority of phone trainings are also hands-on — individual beings trained typically work at their own desk using their CaseMap and TimeMap licenses as a CaseSoft Trainer on speakerphone teaches product features and answers questions. The obvious benefit of hands-on training is that it maximizes the memory retention of the information covered.

Another advantage our phone training program offers is scheduling flexibility — those who need to be trained don't all have to be available at the same day or time. We have 200+ phone training slots available each week. Training slots are available every 30 minutes from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm EST. Please note that scheduling flexibility isn't the same thing as instant availability. Our high volume of new users keeps our phone training schedule booked 7-10 days in advance.

Here's a final benefit of our phone training system: We can work with end-users to get their trainings scheduled (and rescheduled as need be), thereby taking this task and related issues off the shoulders of your organization's support staff. We email new end users with details on how to contact us to schedule a training that's convenient for their schedule. Once a training is set, our trainer takes responsibility for reconfirming the training and rescheduling it as need be. Our instructors also contact each end-user they train three weeks after the training and again seven weeks after the training to answer any questions.

Again, phone trainings are no-charge. Please note that we do require that the person being trained originate the call.

CaseMap Fundamentals for End Users - No Fee
This course teaches new users the core aspects of CaseMap. Our strong preference is to conduct this session one-on-one so that users can ask their personal questions and the pace of training can be adjusted based on the skill level of the trainee. CaseMap Fundamentals focuses on those product features users are likely to employ in their first few months working with our flagship case analysis product. Topics include: CaseMap Spreadsheet Review, Manipulating Spreadsheet Views, Entering Case Information, Running Basic Searches, Creating Reports, and Creating New Case Files. Length: 60 - 75 minutes.

CaseMap/TimeMap Work Product Review - No Fee
Consider this session when your objective is to familiarize a larger group with the purpose of our products and with the types of work product they can produce. For example, at a Litigation Section meeting, connect an LCD projector to a computer loaded with CaseMap/TimeMap and put us on speaker. We'll provide everyone — including those who will request CaseMap/TimeMap work product but won't actually be users — with a quick product overview. Length: 30 - 50 minutes.

CaseMap/TimeMap Overview for Litigation Support/IS Staff - Small Fee Required
This phone session provides an overview of CaseMap & TimeMap tuned to the needs and interests of support professionals. It reviews the technical underpinnings of our tools as well as installation and network setup procedures. We also discuss linking CaseMap and TimeMap to Litigation Support applications such as Acrobat, Concordance, IPRO, LiveNote, Opticon, and Summation. Length: 60 - 90 minutes.

TimeMap Tips & Tricks for End Users - No Fee
This class is offered for groups of three or more TimeMap users, not for individual users. If trainees are totally new to TimeMap, we begin with a quick review of the basic timeline creation process. In all cases, we explain advanced features in TimeMap and discuss techniques for enhancing the visual appeal of your timeline graphs. We also discuss TimeMap's Full Screen Presentation mode and linking Fact Boxes to document images. Length: 30 - 45 minutes.

CaseMap Planning Session - Small Fee Required
You may want us conduct a CaseMap Planning Session when a case team is getting ready to begin using CaseMap. This session isn't a substitute for the CaseMap Fundamentals phone training we would like to conduct individually for each user. Rather it's designed to provide a product overview for everyone on the team and to help the team reach a common understanding regarding work flow and individual responsibilities. Length: 50 - 70 minutes.
