The "Send to CaseMap" Linkers for Summation
We’ve created "Send to CaseMap" Linkers for Summation. There are two versions of the CaseMap/Summation Linker: The first requires CaseMap 3.5 – CaseMap 4.0. The second, and more sophisticated, CaseMap/Summation Linker requires CaseMap 4.5 or higher.

Considerable development resources were expended developing these Linkers. They are free to those covered by CaseMap Support.

SUMMATION REQUIREMENTS: The CaseMap/Summation Linkers require Summation LG 1.1A or later versions of Summation LG. They do not work with Summation 5.2.

Here's some of what the Summation Linkers do:

The Summation Linker lets you connect information in CaseMap to text and images stored in Summation LG.

As you work in CaseMap, one click will launch Summation and display the linked text or image. As you work in Summation, you can select transcript text and send this text to a CaseMap case file as a new fact. In addition to sending the selected text to CaseMap, an entry is made in the new fact's Source(s) field. This source entry links the new fact back to the specific page and line in the Summation file. Later, as you view the fact in CaseMap, one click reopens the linked file in Summation and selects the proper section of the transcript.

The more sophisticated version of the Linker, which requires CaseMap 4.5 or higher, offers a number of important enhancements over our original Plug-in for Summation. For example, the enhanced Plug-in displays a CaseMap window directly in Summation making it easier to cull facts and enter details about them without having to switch back and forth between applications.
