The “Send to CaseMap” Plug-in for Adobe Acrobat and CaseMap 4.5 & CaseMap 5
Our "Send to CaseMap" Plug-in for Acrobat works with Adobe Acrobat 5, 6 and 7-- both full versions of Acrobat and the free Adobe Reader. CaseMap 4.5 or CaseMap 5. Considerable development resource has been expended developing this Plug-in and it is no-charge for those users who are covered by CaseMap Support.
Here's some of what the “Send to CaseMap” Plug-in for Acrobat does:
If an Acrobat file contains both images and the text associated with them, you can select a portion of an image and send the associated text to CaseMap as a new fact. In addition to sending the selected text to CaseMap, an entry is made in the new fact's Source(s) field. This source entry links the new fact back to the specific page and line in the Acrobat file. Later, as you view the fact in CaseMap, one click reopens the linked file in Acrobat and selects the proper section of the document. The Acrobat Plug-in also work when an Acrobat file contains images, but not the associated text. However, as there's no text in the Acrobat file that can be sent to CaseMap, you need to enter your own synopsis of the fact.
When you download and install the “Send to CaseMap” Plug-in for Acrobat, the installation package will add a detailed explanation of the “Send to CaseMap” features to your Windows desktop. Please give it a read.
